New Zealand batsman Tom Latham marries his long

While his teammates like Ajaz Patel and Lockie Ferguson wished him, England player Mark Wood also wished Latham the same. Since New Zealand have no international assignment until November, Tom Latham will be able to spend quality time with his partner. Latham made 154 in his last international match Tom Latham’s last international game was a Test match against Sri Lanka in Colombo in which he made 154 to help his team win by an innings and 65 runs. Son of former New Zealand opener Rod Latham who was a member of the Martin Crowe-led side that had a dream run in the 1992 World Cup, Tom has played in 45 Tests, 95 ODI and 13 T20Is so far, scoring over 6,000 international runs with 14 hundreds. Tom made his international debut in 2012 when he appeared in an ODI against Zimbabwe in Dunedin. His first Test came two years later in 2014 when he played against India in Wellington. He is a key member of the Black Caps’ batting order and is often seen as the country’s future captain. New Zealand will next play England in five T20Is and two Tests at home in November-December. This will be the first meeting between the two sides since that controversial final of the World Cup at Lord’s. Watch – All-time captains XI in ODIs

Watch: Ravichandran Ashwin Kicks Turf in Frustration As Tom Latham Survives After India Don't Opt For DRS Ravichandran Ashwin was upset after replays showed three reds for an LBW appeal against Tom Latham for which India did not use DRS on Day 3 of the first Test. • • Updated: November 27, 2021 01:19 PM IST "India missed a trick," said former India captain Sunil Gavaskar after Ajinkya Rahane's men decided not to use the DRS against Tom Latham in the morning session of Day 3 in the India-New Zealand first Test in Kanpur. Latham continued to enjoy a cordial relationship with DRS in this Test match. He was give out thrice - twice by Nitin Menon and once by Virender Sharma - by on-field umpires on Friday and in all three occasions, Latham straightaway opted for DRS and the decision had to be reversed. And on Saturday, when he was given not out on the field, India decided not to go for the DRS. Replays showed that he would have been out. The incident took place in the 73rd over of the New Zealand innings when Ashwin got one to turn from a fuller length. Latham did not put a good stride forward and the turn meant, the ball evaded the left-hander's bat to brush his front pad and then hit the back leg. There was a huge appeal from Ashwin and all the close-in fielders but the umpire turned it down. Surprisingly India did not opt for the review. An over later, replays showed three reds - the ball was pitching in line, the impact was straight and it was hitting the stumps. Ashwin was...

He will join the Division One champions on 11 June for their trip to Kent, with the final match of his stint, against Somerset, starting on 25 July. "As we look to build on the success of 2022, it is important we can bring in quality talent when we need it. I'm confident Tom will be an outstanding addition to the squad of players we already have in place." Matt Quinn, Wes Agar and Arshdeep Singh shared eight wickets between them as Surrey were rolled over for just 145, a deficit of 156. However, Kent declined to enforce the follow-on and half-centuries by Tawanda Muyeye and Daniel Bell-Drummond have enabled them to lead by 353 going into day three, despite a burst of late wickets. Precious runs for Kent, with Hamidullah Qadri steering Dan Worrall to the boundary, but it's largely about trying to keep these four wickets intact going into day three. Qadri is taking the bulk of the strike and also taking a fair few short deliveries from both Worrall and Sean Abbott as Surrey strive for another wicket or two before the close. Three overs to go. The shadows are lengthening, but there are still five overs left in this marathon evening session, during which Kent have lost five wickets for 26. That's potentially opened the door for Surrey, although Joey Evison and Hamidullah Khadri are out there doing their best to extend the lea...
