Tennessee baseball vs Southern Miss in weather delay in Game 3

HATTIESBURG, Miss. − First pitch will be at 10:06 ET Monday on ESPNU. First pitch was scheduled for Monday at 6 p.m. ET (ESPN2). Tennessee had a runner on first with one out in the fifth and a 1-1 count on Christian Scott when the game was delayed at 5:05 p.m. CT and eventually suspended. The second delay occurred 13 minutes after the game resumed. The first delay lasted 1 hour, 35 minutes. DAD: UT had two runners on and two outs with a 2-2 count on Christian Moore at the time of the first delay. Moore struck out against USM starting pitcher Billy Oldham, who returned after the first delay. Vols pitcher Camden Sewell entered and got three strikeouts in the top of the fifth between the delays. This story will be updated.

When air quality could improve and how long wildfire smoke could last

While patches of poor air quality hung across Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania, eastern Virginia and the Delmarva Peninsula, the overall trend was improvement. Computer modeling indicates the smoke is largely dispersing. Washington, which awoke to visibility around 1.25 miles Thursday morning, had 10-mile visibility to start the day Friday. Beyond Friday afternoon, the low-pressure zone will be drifting to the north and weakening. This should allow smoke plumes to disperse somewhat as the steering flow from the north subsides. By Saturday, a greater westerly component to the wind should reduce the smoke in most areas. However, parts of western New York state may see a renewed filament of smoke drop out of Canada, although confidence is low.

Northeast Ohio weather: Another batch of steady rain tonight; sunshine tomorrow

CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) - A broad area of low pressure has been bringing us cloudy skies, unseasonably chilly conditions, and occasional showers today. This feature will continue to influence our weather through early tomorrow morning. In the short-term, expect hit or miss showers through about 7:00 p.m. A rumble of thunder cannot be ruled out. Another batch of steady rain will move through after 7:00 p.m. Rain may be heavy at times, and areas of ponding will occur overnight. By sunrise Wednesday, there will only be isolated showers on the radar map, and these will be mainly confined to the Primary Snow Belt. Skies will gradually clear during the day Wednesday, and it will be a lovely afternoon. It will be a lot cooler than normal though, with highs only topping out around 70 degrees. Another system will move in on Thursday, bringing numerous scattered showers and storms to northern Ohio. By Friday, conditions will dry out again, and temperatures will soar through the 70s from Friday through Sunday. Initially, Sunday looked pretty wet. However, the latest weather data supports a dry forecast through the weekend. Copyright 2023 WOIO. All rights reserved.

It's Saturday! Yippee! It's been a beautiful day so far, with nice warm temperatures, sunny skies and light winds. Today is a great day to go bird watching, take a walk or hike, or even test out the pool. Tomorrow will be nearly the same, although a whopping 10 degrees warmer! Tomorrow will likely be our first 90 degree day of the year...and it will be a sweaty one! Fortunately, there will be a light breeze cooling all of us down with the hot temps. The wind forecast has trended downwards for most of the days this week with only breezy afternoons expected as far as I can see. Yay! However, we will introduce rain chances once again! Monday through Thursday, we are now at a 20% chance of rain. I think we may see a couple thunderstorms those days, but primarily over the mountains. That's not to say we can't see any rain in our cities...just be aware that there's a chance. All in all, enjoy the week and make sure you are hydrating as the temps heat up!

Special weather statement issued for Toronto warning of massive rainfall

Heaviest rainfall is expected later this morning," the weather statement reads. The weather agency did note that there remained some uncertainty with rainfall amounts and the exact track of the low, which may eventually require an upgrade to the rainfall warning. ☔Significant Weather Outlook for tomorrow. 🌧️ 🌧️30-50 mm of rain is possible for parts of southern and northeastern Ontario starting tonight and through Monday.
